  • Jason "JD" Davis - Youth Hockey Director - Youth hockey director, private lesson instructor. JD grew up skating in Michigan and has been playing some form of hockey since he was 7. While in the military he has built rinks, formed leagues and coached youth hockey for 8+ years.   • Jeff Eastburn - Hockey Coach, Private Lesson Instructor - Specializes in Adult and Youth Hockey skill development and team play. Lead Instructor for the Skatetown Adult Hockey Program. Focusing individual drills on skating skills, shooting, passing and stickhandling. Also works with Adult League teams, individuals and small groups at Private Ice or Sticktime focusing on breakout, neutral zone regroup and counterattack strategies. Jeff has played hockey for 30+ years in the Northern California area.   • Tyler Reader  - Tyler began skating at 6 years old, going to the local rink in Arizona every Friday. He got his first real pair of skates the following year. Tyler took time off the ice to complete his black belt in Taekwondo and was once again a regular at the rink. He  has been working for ice rinks since he was 15 and began playing hockey as an adult (Silver B division).   • Rusty Krouse - Rusty began playing ice hockey in Sacramento in the late '80s and still plays multiple times a week. His love for the game was first spawned from playing unorganized, neighborhood broomball until many of the local parents decided they’d had enough of the sport that turned the household brooms into nothing more than broomsticks. Many within this same group found roller hockey as an alternative, both indoor and outdoor, before eventually the original group of kids had whittled down to just a few. Rusty and the final few convinced their parents to take them to try ice hockey and they’ve all been hooked ever since. Rusty enjoys teaching the basics and fundamentals to all age groups, with a specialty in both young and old first-time skaters. Focusing on skating, basic edgework and puck handling, proper stance, posture and game fundamentals, Rusty’s goal is to see each of his students move on to play the sport, either competitively or recreationally, for fun and exercise. hockeycoachrusty@gmail.com $35 for 30-minute session   
  • Lucas Maroney - Coach Lucas is originally from Philadelphia and developed a passion for hockey early in life. He has been playing ice hockey since grade school and currently plays on several adult teams weekly. He loves the balance between strength and agility found in hockey and believes hockey is a fun, life long sport that everyone can enjoy.   • CJ Toscas - CJ has been playing competitive hockey since he was 10 years old. He has played on elite travel teams all over Northern California and continues to play in our adult league. CJ has been coaching for 15 years and has the knowledge and skill to teach all aspects of the game. Skating, shooting, passing, strength, game play, and a deep dive into power skating and creative edge control. CJ will keep the lessons fun and consistently active.   • Kaity Trute - Coach Trute brings over two decades of personal skating experience and a contagious passion for the ice. Her journey started in figure skating, competing in both USFS and ISI until 2008, where her mastery of power, speed, and agility first took root. With 11 years of coaching experience, five dedicated to figure skating and another four honing the skills of aspiring hockey players, Kaity's coaching philosophy revolves around instilling core values of respect, resilience, and discipline in her players. Beyond the game, she aims to nurture well-rounded individuals, fostering an environment where athletes flourish both on and off the ice through her engaging and outgoing demeanor. Coach Kaity's extensive background in figure skating brings a unique perspective to her coaching style, emphasizing the importance of agility and precision in hockey.   • Ken MacNeill - Ken started playing hockey on the ponds in Massachusetts where he grew up. He got into ice hockey again when his sons, Kevin and Caleb, were in the in-house hockey program. When he got back on the ice after many years, he found his skills a bit rusty so he signed up for the Adult Learn to Play Class. His sons are now grown men, but Ken remains involved in the ice hockey program. He plays in both the Bronze A and the Senior League as well as coaching in the Adult Learn to Play Hockey class and the Mites 8 and under class.
